The Qi Leader

Please join Shoshanna Katzman as she introduces her method that helps students become more centered, integrated, and whole within themselves as they practice Taiji within a group setting. It is based on one person assuming the role of "Qi Leader" whether we are performing warm-ups or moving through the Guang Ping Form together. This method ensures that players move together within themselves and simultaneously with the group. It is an excellent way to establish greater synchronicity, whole body movement, and Qi flow. We hope you will join to learn more about how to bring this teaching method into your classes.

Shoshanna began the practice of Guang Ping Yang Style Taiji and Northern Shaolin Gong Fu in 1974 under the tutelage of Bing Gong in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. She also had the opportunity to attend classes with Kuo Lien Ying in Portsmouth Square. Shoshanna received her Master’s degree in the “Scientific Aspects of Physical Education” from San Francisco State University.  She founded Red Bank Acupuncture & Wellness Center and Two Rivers Academy of Taiji & Qigong.  She received her Masters Degree in Acupuncture, and Masters Level training in Energy Body Medicine.

Shoshanna is author of Qigong for Staying Young: A Simple 20-Minute Workout to Cultivate Your Vital Energy (Penguin Group, 2003) along with an accompanying video and newly released online curriculum Center of Power: Life Mastery Through Tai Chi – a comprehensive program learning the Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Form along with its inherent energetic underpinnings (www.yourcenterofpower.com).
